"The Master of Horror unleashes everything you were ever afraid of.
"Seven youths have to defeat a demonic creature named Pennywise which dresses in a clown suit and terrorizes a 1960's town in Maine.
A top notch adaptation of the Stephen King novel
This must be my night for Tim Curry Films. WHat makes this film so
good, like the best films of King's books, is that they seem to
translate well to mini-series events. The script here is excellent and
the story is scary. What happens in the town of Derry Maine every
thirty years when children start going missing and the adults don't
even seem to notice. The answer lies in the storm drains under the town
and a band of kids manage to be the first to escape the terror in the
dark. But their experience scars them, as their memories of the event
are wiped out and do not return until thirty years later when they are
summoned back to Derry by the only one who remained behind, the town
librarian, to finish what they began thirty years before. Especially
great in his role was Tim Curry as Pennywise the clown (from hell) who
was so into his part during filming that the rest of the cast avoided
him. A fine ensemble (both adult and child casts) and excellent
adaptation make this a very watchable film.
