Big budgets gone to waste
For a film with a decent budget, Boogeyman blows.
The plot showed potential at first. A kid who saw "the boogeyman" kill
his father (although no one believes him) still fears the dark and
closets, and still believes in the Boogeyman. He goes back to his
childhood home to face his fears.
This movie could have been a lot scarier. It had the budget for special
effects, but for some reason after the first 1/4 of the movie, the plot
gets weaker and weaker until the pathetic, very easy, overly lame
conclusion. It's like the writers pooped out after the first part of
the movie. Then they just threw together some crap and tried to put the
movie out of its misery.
If you like lame endings that leave you mad and wanting the 90 minutes
of your life back you just wasted, try Boogeyman.
