An American Haunting (2005)

Loved It
I'm not sure exactly what people were expecting from this movie but I,
for one, went into it with no expectations. In other words, I wasn't
expecting some great factual account a haunting that supposedly took
place way back when. Maybe if I were more familiar with the history of
the Bell Witch, I'd be more inclined to feel differently. But as that
is not the case, I have to say that I enjoyed the movie. I really like
suspense and this film had a whole lot of it. The way in which it was
shot just sort of gave it a kind of eerie feel, which really added to
the suspense. The actors, I thought, did a great job. And Rachel
Hurd-Wood, especially, helped to bring the story to another level. I'm
glad it wasn't the typical blood and guts horror movie.
