Idiots + A Predictable Plot + Unnecessary Language and Gore = Rest Stop
My dad is known for bringing home awful movies, but this tops the list
The plot is simple. Anyone could have written it. A mad man's after a
poor, distressed, scared and, of course beautiful, girl in the middle
of nowhere. (That's never been done before).
You end up naturally hating the character's and hope that they get
butchered. There so awfully shallow with no depth. The main heroine, a
VERY loosely used term, appears to me to be nothing more than a fowl
mouth alcoholic and utterly incompetent. I have to comment on the
language this girl uses. I have no problem with fowl language in a film
if used in the right context, but there is a line. This film crossed
it. The language used in this film, to me, sounds unnatural and just
there for the sake of it.
The worst part of this film is the gore. Again, I'm all for a good
kill. I seen "The Hills Have Eyes" (remake) and loved every minute of
it. Gore used in the right context. But this film, nothing more that
for the sake of it. Splatter porn in its worst, most horrible form. The
gore in this film is featured in only a few scenes, but it is utterly
unnecessary. The film could have functioned without it, although its
arguable whether or not this film could ever function and be pleasing.
In conclusion, do yourself a favor and never watch this movie. You are
much better of watching something along the lines of:
The Hills Have Eyes Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 When A Stranger Calls or
any of the classics like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elmstreet,
Halloween, just anything but this. I don't know what the worst movie
ever made is, but this is certainly a contender. Don't Watch.
